Mohamed Mohamed Ali Egypt My name is Mohamed Ali, and I am an Egyptian student at the faculty of engineering at Al Azhar University. I did not like the system of education at my country, so decided to find other ways to learn. I began to follow some universities that provide video lectures like MIT, Harvard and Yale. I’ve learned a lot but I needed something where I could have homework and practice — and while I was searching for courses I knew about edx. At edx.org, I searched for courses that would support my field of study. As I am studying communication and electronics, I took 8.02x and 6.002x from MITx. After I finished, I decided to study subjects that I will not study at university, so I am now taking CS50x from Harvardx and COMP102x from HKUSTx. I am doing well in both courses, and now know to to program using scratch and C. I am looking forward to CS_1156x from Calteckx, ELEC1200.1x from HKUSTx, and LFS101x from LinuxFoundationX. EdX is now the most important thing in my life, as I spend most of my time on edx.org; with this rate of studying online I will not go to my university, as I will know everything that I want to know through edX and other MOOCs. It was my dream to study at a big university like MIT or Harvard. Now my dream has been achieved thanks to edX, as it brought this universities to my room. Thanks edx!
